I just read what is undoubtedly one of the most interesting music stories I’ve come across all year long: a former New York composer that was at one point a child of war in suburban Kuwait and has made an instrumental EP about how she used video games to cope with the distress and stress that war brought to her front door. THE FADER interviewed Fatima Al Qadiri for this story and also included her full 5-song EP on their site. Listened to the whole thing and it’s some pretty good music.
